Inter 3 2005_6 ONLINE

Tuesday, October 11th, 2005

Now in addition to the AA Inter 3 website which has been up and running for about 4 years, i’ve just set up a new site which we’ll hope to update much more frequently. Go to - our new blog and website - to check out what we’re up to throughout the year. All of the students will be authors to the site and will also have their own pages on which to post recent work and thoughts.

10 CHAIRS Exhibition Opening

Saturday, February 19th, 2005

After a long and hard week, the Intermediate Unit 3 exhibition of 10 CHAIRS opened to private view this evening. It will run from Feb 18-March 18 so if you’re in the neighborhood, drop by the AA and see the chairs.

The chairs are the result of individual agendas dealing with looping, shifting, insatiability, sidedness, viewfinding, contact, lightness, friendliness, privacy and negotiation, all within the larger unit brief of Performative Form.

Many congratulations and thanks to the students who put their heart and soul into the work and the show. It looks great. I look forward to seeing how they carry their ideas through to the next project.

Lots more images in flickr or coming soon on the Inter 3 website.

I’ve been remiss in not keeping up to date with the postings - but we’ve had a very busy 2 weeks and I’ll do some updating v. soon. Will switch over blog hosting tomorrow to a new company - once that’s up and running, will tell all from the intense 10 days in Los Angeles. Was a great trip - from houses to offices - lots to see. Go here for the full itinerary.

teaching and working

Wednesday, November 10th, 2004

Until i set up the links at the right, you can find me doing AA INTER 3, AA SUMMER SCHOOL, and D[A]L. We’re in the process of building the D[A]L site so there’ll be something to see in a couple of weeks.

As for Inter 3, I’m thoroughly enjoying the teaching this year - check the inter 3 site to see updates of student work soon. The unit will be heading to LA in December to visit the Case Study Houses and some of the new groovy variety in preparation for the main project of the year (the House). If you know of any great houses in LA, let me know.
