This site is best seen with Firefox. I’ve made a few changes recently which have thrown the whole thing off in Explorer. Still trying to sort it out.

Inter 3 Unit Trip to Los Angeles

Saturday, November 27th, 2004

Taking the students to Los Angeles for a full week of archi-tourism. We’ll be visiting houses (eames, lautner, schindler, neutra, flw, etc), universities to see both the architecture and interactive media studios, and a few production facilities, like spectrum 3d to push the level of machinic fabrication within the unit. Go here for the full itinerary.

Ok, so I finally installed Firefox - i’m a fan. Seems good and fast so can’t complain. Also have started to use Clusty by Vivissimo which I haven’t yet been able to provide a verdict on. Don’t like the graphics but appreciate the clusters. Will keep working with it for a while.

teaching and working

Wednesday, November 10th, 2004

Until i set up the links at the right, you can find me doing AA INTER 3, AA SUMMER SCHOOL, and D[A]L. We’re in the process of building the D[A]L site so there’ll be something to see in a couple of weeks.

As for Inter 3, I’m thoroughly enjoying the teaching this year - check the inter 3 site to see updates of student work soon. The unit will be heading to LA in December to visit the Case Study Houses and some of the new groovy variety in preparation for the main project of the year (the House). If you know of any great houses in LA, let me know.

Here we go…

Ok - so I’m finally going to start using this blog - although i’ve just found out the hosting company will shut operations in January - so this might be a short lived effort.

In family news: This week my cousin zak is in New York getting an award for being such a star designer. He’s at CalArts.
